2010 saw me competing in the Western Region Series, Geelong & Colac Club Series, Victorian Junior Titles, Australian Junior Titles, Two Dayers held at Warrnambool, Ballarat, Ararat and Bacchus Marsh Twilight.
This year I had to improve my riding as I was racing in a faster class which was B grade.
In the Western Region series I have competed in 7 out of 8 rounds, with still one round to go. I am currently sitting 2nd on my 65cc and 4th on my 150cc.
After competing in the 4 rounds of the Victorian Titles I finished 5th of my 65cc and 8th on my 150cc. It was a lot tougher this year having to step up against harder competition.
This year I competed in an Interclub Series, which consisted of 3 rounds at 3 different clubs. Ballarat, Colac and Geelong all put on great race meetings and I finished 1st on both bikes.
I also had podium finishes at Ballarat, Bacchus Marsh Twilight and Ararat Two Dayers. At Ballarat I finished 1st on my 65cc. At Ararat it was a battle for second with myself unfortunately finishing 3rd on a count back. At Bacchus Marsh Twilight I finished 1st on my 65cc and 2nd on my 150cc. This race meeting was held during the night under lights.
The 2010 Australian Junior Motocross Titles saw my family and I travel to Lake Macquarie for a week of the school holidays. The Lakes track was challenging and nothing like I had ridden back home. I finished 12th on my 150cc out of 20 riders and 23rd on my 65cc out of 31 riders. It was a big improvement from last year’s results.
Due to gradings through the year I have now been put up into the A grade class.
Next year I will competing in the 85cc big wheel class and looking forward to the new challenges.
